RETIRED NFL PLAYERS AND FOUNDERS OF CANNABIS BRAND REVENANT TO ATTEND AUGUST 31 MARIJUANA INDUSTRY TRADE ASSOCIATION (MITA) NETWORKING EVENT
The networking event in Downtown Phoenix will feature retired NFL players Kyle Turley, Jim McMahon, and Eben Britton, founders of Revenant, a popular cannabis brand.
PHOENIX, Ariz., (August 17, 2022) — The Marijuana Industry Trade Association (MITA), named one of the Top Networking Organizations in Arizona by the Phoenix Business Journal, today announced the upcoming appearance of three former NFL players and cannabis advocates at their August meeting.
Kyle Turley, Jim McMahon, and Eben Britton, founders of the California-based cannabis brand, Revenant, will discuss their cannabis journey, sign autographs, pose for photos, and meet with fans from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, August 31 at the Found:RE Hotel, 1100 N. Central Avenue in Downtown Phoenix. Tickets start at $30 and are available at mita-az.org or at the door.
The trio’s appearance is part of an ongoing effort led by MITA to raise awareness for athletes that work to further cannabis acceptance, and in particular former NFL players as the Valley prepares to host the league’s Big Game in February, 2023. Former Heisman Trophy winner Ricky Williams was a guest at the organization’s July networking meeting.
“MITA works closely with former professional athletes for the goal of promoting the proper and responsible messaging and use of cannabis: for therapeutic and wellness reasons. The Valley will be in the international spotlight in February when the nation’s pro football championship game takes place in Glendale, Arizona. We admire the work the gentlemen of Revenant are doing by leveraging their fame, connections and expertise to help bring a mainstream acceptance to the industry,” said Demitri Downing, founder and CEO at MITA.
Mutual respect and understanding of the healing power of cannabis brought athlete-activists Turley, McMahon, and Britton together to create Revenant with the common goal of relieving mental and physical suffering by creating safe access to high-quality products. The trio hopes to see the brand grow nationally.
“We are excited to attend the MITA networking event to expand our brand and network with like- minded cannabis advocates and enthusiasts to lift us all up in this growing sector,” said Turley. “We believe in the healing power of cannabis.”
Established in 2016, MITA works directly with members and policy makers to ensure a fair, safe, regulated and successful cannabis economy acting as a resource hub for patients, brands, companies, and entrepreneurs. Every month, the organization features an elite national cannabis executive to discuss a slated timely industry speaking topic.
